Unfortunately it is the time to pay your annual membership dues to the Harvard Business School Club of Brazil. Though we are billing somewhat late, the membership dues will cover the calendar year, i.e., January to December. Those paying the dues will receive the printed version of the 2009 Directory.

Our activities in 2008 included business, social, and cultural events, ending with the Centennnial Dinner, and we continued to have a growing number of alumni present, meeting old friends and making new friends. We want to keep the spirit in 2009 and beyond, and have started the year with the successful Entrepreneurs Breakfast, to be followed by Luiz Paulo Rosenberg in May, Shakhaf Wine (Portugal Telecom) in Rio also in May, Harvard University Provost Jorge Dominguez in June, and Carl Emberson (Hyatt), Maciel (Suzano) and Shaun Wallis (HSBC) in the second semester, when we will also be holding a 'terceiro setor" breakfast and our traditional recent grads cocktail party.
Despite the crisis our scholarship fund is financing two current Brazilian students in HBS.
Those who have been with us, bring into the Club your colleagues who have not joined us yet. We want and we will do a lot more in 2009. Send new ideas for events. Be a volunteer to organize one of them!
