We are pleased to announce our next event in Rio de Janeiro, a breakfast with Shakhaf Wine, President of PORTUGAL TELECOM, on Tuesday 12th May 2009.
Guests are welcome, but numbers are limited, so please reserve early.

Topic: "The turnaround case at VIVO"

Mr. Wine is a Member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of POTUGAL TELECOM S.G.P.S. President and Chairman of PORTUGAL TELECOM Brasil S.A., member of the board of directors of VIVO Participações S.A. since March 2004 and Vice Chairman of the board since August 2008.
He is also on the board of directors of TELEMIG Participações S.A., TELEMIG Celular S.A., MOBITEL S.A., PT Multimédia.com Brasil Ltda. and Universo Online S.A.
Before joining PORTUGAL TELECOM in 2003, Mr. Wine was Director in the Global Telecommunications Group of MERRILL LYNCH International, Senior Associate Director of the Latin American and Telecommunications groups of DEUTSCHE MORGAN GRENFELL and a foreign exchange trader and dealer at Banco ICATU S.A.
He holds a degree in Economics from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro.

Relevance: VIVO (a JV between PT and Telefonica) it is among the top 10 private companies in Brazil. In addition Telco business is one of the most relevant sectors in Rio.

The presentation will be in Portuguese.

Cost: R$ 30,00. Payment is due at the door. Do not include parking which must be outside the club.

Presence: Given that we have to confirm the number of participants upfront to the restaurant, cancellations will be accepted with no charge until noon, Monday 11th May. After that, if you confirmed your presence, or
that of guests, we will have to charge you the cost of the lunch.
