The marketing/sales work being performed in a range of high-potential ventures has been studied through case development and student-led course projects.  The companies studied tend to be technology or consumer goods oriented.  While a number of new tools are used by the people leading these firms, the primary lesson learned is an old one:  the entrepreneur's plan for assembling experienced people and powerful partners is the key ingredient in turning a high potential venture into a high-performance venture.
